Botany Downs grew up in the 1990s and 2000s around Botany Town Centre, and it's still one of the most popular areas in East Auckland for families. Good schools, parks and shopping keep demand strong.
The median rent across all homes was $700 a week in the six months to August 2026, one of the highest of the suburbs we track. Three-bedroom houses had a median of $695 and four-bedroom homes $800.

Botany homes and what they need
Because most homes here are relatively modern, meeting the Healthy Homes Standards is usually straightforward, but the records still need to be in place. Some properties sit within a residents' society or have shared driveways, which we take care of in the tenancy agreement.
